AE-FUNAI Students Invited to Participate in National AI Essay Competition
The Office of the Registrar at Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI) has released an internal memo inviting students to participate in a national essay competition organized by the Brain Builders Youth Development Initiative (BBYDI).
The competition focuses on the role of emerging technologies in Nigeria, specifically challenging students to explore the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support public welfare and inclusive development.

Competition Theme
The official theme is: “Artificial Intelligence for the Public Good: Balancing Innovation, Human Welfare, and Responsible Governance.”
Prize Structure
BBYDI has announced significant cash rewards for the top three entries:
First Prize: ₦400,000
Second Prize: ₦300,000
Third Prize: ₦200,000
In addition to the cash prizes, the top ten finalists will be sponsored to attend the National Grand Finale scheduled for May 13, 2026.
