AEFUNAI LAW FACULTY FULLY ACCREDITED AFTER CLE PROCEDURAL SUSPENSION, JAMB TO UPDATE PORTAL FOR 2026/2O27 REGISTRATION
The Faculty of Law at Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AEFUNAI), which was suspended from admissions in the 2025/2026 session due to a procedural issue with the Council of Legal Education (CLE), has now met all requirements and is fully accredited.
The suspension was not due to a lack of accreditation, but because the faculty began admitting students before the CLE completed its formal approval process. The National Universities Commission (NUC) had already accredited the programme, confirming it met all academic and infrastructural standards.
Prospective law students attempting to register for the 2026/2027 Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations have reported that the faculty is not yet listed on the portal. The university management has confirmed that they have communicated with the CLE, which has acknowledged the request and assured that JAMB will soon update its system to include the faculty.
Students/Aspirants are advised to exercise patience while the correction is underway, as the faculty is now fully cleared for admissions.
