EKSU Confers Honorary Doctorate on Banker Abayomi Adeyeri

The Senate of Ekiti State University (EKSU) has today, April 11, 2026, conferred an Honorary Doctor of Finance (Honoris Causa) on Mr. Abayomi Adeyeri. The ceremony, held at the university’s main campus, honored Adeyeri for his contributions to the banking sector and his role in national economic development.  

Adeyeri, a veteran banker who previously oversaw public sector business for the South-South and South-East regions, was also inducted into the EKSU Alumni Hall of Fame. During the event, the university leadership emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between academia and the professional financial sector. In related news, student leaders at the event called for increased security measures on campus following a recent abduction attempt involving students in the region.
