The 2026 JAMB registration has officially closed with 2,243,816 candidates—a record-breaking number that has many students worried. If you are one of them, you aren’t searching for the number; you’re searching for how to beat it.

Here is what you need to do to stay ahead of the competition:

1. The “Aggregated” Strategy (The Real Cut-off)

With over 2.2 million applicants, most Federal Universities will not rely on a 200 JAMB score alone. To secure admission in 2026, you must calculate your Aggregate Score (JAMB + Post-UTME + O’Level).

Action: If your target course is competitive (Medicine, Law, Engineering), aim for a minimum UTME score of 270+ to stay in the merit list conversation.

2. NELFUND & Your Admission Status
