Nigerian engineer, inventor and entrepreneur Dr. Ndubuisi Ekekwe has announced the Contisx Phone, a blockchain-based smartphone designed to provide secure communication for individuals, businesses and governments.Ekekwe, who described himself as a Nigerian engineer and inventor, said his journey of building technology began during his university days at the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), where he said his team launched the institution’s first campus FM radio station.According to Ekekwe, he later worked in the semiconductor industry as a global lead ASIC design engineer and contributed to the development of inertial sensors used in early versions of the iPhone. inertial sensors, said the phone grew out of his team’s work developing a native blockchain for Contisx Securities Exchange.The Contisx Phone is now available for preorder, with shipments scheduled to begin October 1, 2026.Preorder customers will receive one year of Contisx Network services, zero-rated access to core Contisx services, and free access to the Tekedia Nigeria Capital Market Masterclass and Tekedia Mini-MBA.
