AE-FUNAI Launches Institute for Future Skills and Innovation (IFSI) with New Degree Programs in AI, FinTech, and Cybersecurity.

While many Nigerian graduates are still struggling with degrees that don’t match today’s job market, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI) has decided to take a different path. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Daniel Nwachukwu, made it clear that the old way of sitting in a hot lecture hall for four years without touching a computer is over. The IFSI will run on an “online-first” model. This means students will be learning from a “distributed faculty”—basically, experts from Nigeria and all over the world teaching via a modern Learning Management System.

You’ll get the digital lectures and collaborative projects online, then show up on campus for the “rugged” stuff: workshops, innovation labs, and “capstone” projects where you actually have to build something that works.
