Nigerian striker Gift Orban is enjoying a strong start to the new Turkish Super Lig season and is now just three goals away from potentially securing a permanent move to Amedspor. Orban has reportedly scored seven goals and provided two assists in six league appearances, making him one of the standout attacking players in the competition. The Nigerian forward joined Amedspor on loan from German club Hoffenheim. According to reports, the agreement contains a clause that could require Amedspor to make the move permanent if Orban reaches 10 league goals. The permanent transfer fee has reportedly been set at about €3 million. Amedspor initially paid a reported €500,000 to secure the striker on loan. His impressive performances have already made the transfer situation more interesting. Orban recently scored and provided an assist during Amedspor’s victory over Beşiktaş, further increasing his goal contribution. With seven goals already recorded, the striker needs only three more league goals to reach the reported target. His current form could therefore have a major impact on his future at the Turkish club. The striker’s performances have also renewed discussions about his international career with Nigeria. Despite his strong club form, he has not recently featured for the Super Eagles. For now, Orban’s immediate task is to continue scoring. If he reaches the 10-goal target, Amedspor could be required to complete the permanent transfer under the terms of the reported agreement. The Nigerian forward therefore has more than personal statistics at stake as he continues his impressive run in Turkey.
