- The Point-Grading System: Schools like Lagos State University and many state institutions do not write exams. They calculate an aggregate score by combining your JAMB score with your O’Level grades (WAEC or NECO). A higher number of A1 and B2 grades gives you more points.
- The Document Verification Model: Some institutions only require you to upload your results on their portal, pay the screening fee, and wait for the system to process your credentials.
Requirements for Purchasing the Online Screening Forms
To successfully register for any Post-UTME screening, you must have specific details ready. The standard statutory fee for the screening form across all public universities is 2,000 Naira. This fee does not include bank charges or cyber cafe service fees.
Before you open any registration portal, ensure you have your correct JAMB registration number, a valid email address, your O’Level result grades, and a clean passport photograph with a white background. If you are using an awaiting result, you must state it clearly during the registration process, provided the school allows it.
How to Avoid Buying Fake Registration Forms
Scammers take advantage of the rush during this period to create fake registration portals that look exactly like official school websites. Never buy scratch cards or pay money into individual bank accounts for Post-UTME forms.
Always access the registration portal directly through the official website of your target university. If a school website is down, wait for it to clear up instead of patronizing agents who promise to handle the registration through alternative links. Keep your eyes on the closing dates, as most schools only leave their portals open for three to four weeks.
