JAMB Sets Date for 2026 UTME Mop-Up Exam

Candidates affected during the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) now have a final opportunity to participate in the examination exercise. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially scheduled the 2026 UTME mop-up examination for Saturday, June 13, 2026.

JAMB described the exercise as the final phase of the 2026 UTME process for affected candidates.

Who Is Eligible for the 2026 Mop-Up Examination?

The mop-up examination is not open to fresh registration. According to JAMB, only candidates who were previously registered for the 2026 UTME and encountered issues during the main examination are eligible.

This includes candidates who:

completed biometric verification but were unable to sit for the examination for various reasons,

experienced technical or operational issues at their CBT centres,

were assigned to centres later affected by investigations or cancellation exercises conducted by JAMB.

Affected candidates are advised to regularly monitor official JAMB communication channels and their registered phone numbers for updates.

Slip Printing Begins June 6

JAMB announced that printing of the mop-up examination notification slip will begin on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Candidates are expected to print a fresh examination slip containing:

their new examination centre,

examination date,

session time,

and other important instructions.

The previously used April examination slip will not be valid for the mop-up exercise.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Candidates are advised to:

arrive early at their assigned CBT centres,

come with their examination slip,

comply with all biometric verification procedures,

and follow all examination guidelines issued by JAMB.

JAMB also stated that there will be no further opportunity for affected candidates to sit for the 2026 UTME after the mop-up examination scheduled for June 13, 2026.
