Musa Yar’Adua University (UMYU), Katsina, has opened a second opportunity for eligible candidates who could not register for or attend its earlier Post-UTME aptitude test for the 2026/2027 academic session. The university announced that the registration portal reopened on Saturday, September 12, 2026, and will remain open until Friday, September 25, 2026. The second Post-UTME aptitude test is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026. According to the university, the opportunity is available to candidates who sat for the 2026 UTME but were unable to register for or attend the previous Post-UTME exercise. Direct Entry applicants who could not register for the earlier screening are also invited to apply. Candidates must have UMYU as their first-choice institution and must satisfy the admission requirements for their chosen programme. However, UMYU stated that the second Post-UTME opportunity does not cover a number of programmes, including Cyber Security, Law, Nursing Science, Medicine and Surgery, Software Engineering, Economics, International Relations, Public Administration, Microbiology and several others. Candidates who sat for the previous Post-UTME aptitude test are also not eligible for the second test. Those who registered for the previous test but were absent may participate, provided their chosen programme is not among the excluded programmes. The university also said candidates who want to change their course can do so before proceeding with registration. For Direct Entry candidates, UMYU stated that they are not required to sit for the aptitude test but should forward copies of their credentials to the Registrar’s office.
