AE-FUNAI Opens 2026/2027 Supplementary Admission, Lists Available Courses, Requirements and September 25 Deadline

AE-FUNAI has opened 2026/2027 supplementary admission. See eligible courses, UTME score requirements, application fee, how to apply and the September 25 deadline.

Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI) has opened applications for supplementary admission for the 2026/2027 academic session.

The university said the opportunity is available to candidates who applied for admission into the institution but are yet to receive an admission offer.

According to the university, candidates who applied to AE-FUNAI are eligible to apply regardless of whether they participated in the university’s Post-UTME screening exercise.

However, applicants must have scored at least 150 in the 2026 JAMB UTME and must not have already been offered admission.

Candidates are also required to ensure that their UTME and O’Level subject combinations meet the requirements for their preferred supplementary programme.

The university further directed interested candidates to effect a change of course on JAMB CAPS to the programme they intend to apply for.

Programmes available

The supplementary admission exercise covers programmes across nine faculties.

In the Faculty of Agriculture, available programmes include Agribusiness and Management, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, Soil Science, Crop Science, Animal Science, and Fisheries and Aquaculture. The minimum screening score is 150.

The Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences is accepting applications for Anatomy and Physiology, with a minimum score of 160.

In the Faculty of Education, candidates can apply for programmes including Education/English and Literary Studies, Educational Management, Guidance and Counselling, Biology Education, Chemistry Education, Mathematics Education, Physics Education, Human Kinetic and Health Education, Agricultural Science and Education, Business Education, Economics Education and Computer Science Education. Technology Education is also available with options in Mechanical, Building, Woodwork, Electrical and Electronics, and Automobile Technology Education. The minimum score is 150.

The Faculty of Environmental Sciences has Geography and Climate Change available, with a minimum score of 150.

In the Faculty of Arts, available programmes include Theatre Arts, English, Fine and Applied Arts, French, Linguistics, Linguistics/French, Linguistics/Igbo, Igbo, Music, History and Strategic Studies, Philosophy, and Religion and Cultural Studies. The minimum score is 150.

The Faculty of Management Sciences is offering Banking and Finance and Public Administration, also with a 150 minimum score.

In the Faculty of Biological Sciences, candidates can apply for Biology and Biotechnology with a minimum score of 150, while Biochemistry and Microbiology require a minimum score of 160.

The Faculty of Physical Sciences has openings in Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology, Applied Geophysics and Physics, with a minimum score of 150.

The Faculty of Social Sciences is offering Economics, Political Science, Sociology and Psychology, also with a minimum score of 150.

How to apply

Interested candidates are required to visit the university’s supplementary admission portal at apply.funai.edu.ng and provide their JAMB registration number to validate their profile.

Applicants will then provide a valid email address and phone number, verify their email using an OTP, and pay a ₦5,000 supplementary admission processing fee.

The university said payment should be made by transferring the full amount to the account provided on the portal. Candidates must then click “I have made payment” to proceed with registration and subsequently check their email for confirmation of registration.

AE-FUNAI encouraged applicants to consult the supplementary admission portal for the specific JAMB UTME and O’Level subject requirements for each programme before applying.

The application portal will close on Friday, September 25, 2026.

The university stressed that there will be no extension of the deadline.
