REPORTS: Poco Lee Allegedly Released From UK Prison As Burna Boy Associate Hints Freedom

Nigerian dancer and entertainer Iweh Pascal Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, has reportedly regained his freedom from a UK prison. The reports surfaced on Friday after close associates and fans dropped hints online about a breakthrough in his ongoing UK legal case. Burna Boy’s associate and singer Rahman Jago posted cryptic messages on X that sent fans into celebration mode. He wrote: “Alhamdulilah. There is nothing impossible for God.” “Life don’t come with no Manual. You’ve to live through it & learn from your mistakes.” Fans flooded his replies asking “Abeg no put us for suspense” and “Hope poco lee issues don Dey get solution.” Content creator Peller also addressed the matter in a live video, claiming Poco Lee is “out of prison”. Peller said he had sought the intervention of Pastor Tobi and was told Burna Boy was already handling the matter. Another report by TrendIn claimed that the alleged complainant has withdrawn the allegations, and that both Burna Boy and Rahman Jago allegedly played roles in securing Poco Lee’s release. Poco Lee was arrested in the UK in August after travelling for the Davido and Friends concert in London.
Snaresbrook Crown Court confirmed he was facing 5 charges:

  1. 1count of Attempted Rape
  2. 2 counts of Rape
  3. 2 counts of Assault by Penetration
The alleged offences were said to have occurred in Tower Hamlets, East London on July 23. A reporting restriction was placed on the case to protect the identity of the complainant. His next court date was scheduled for September 15, 2026 for plea and trial preparation. As of press time, there is no official confirmation from Snaresbrook Crown Court or Poco Lee’s legal team regarding his release. His management had earlier urged the public to “allow the legal process to take its course”and to avoid misinformation. Burna Boy was also reported to have visited Poco Lee in UK prison earlier this month, showing support for the dancer. The news has triggered relief and mixed reactions online. Many fans and colleagues celebrated, while others urged caution until an official statement is released. Poco Lee was also recently nominated for 2026 Headies “Song of the Year” for ‘Hey Jago’ despite the legal battle.
