The Nigerian Entertainment Conference, NECLive, is set to return for its 11th edition with discussions centred on how Nigeria can use the strength of its domestic entertainment market to create greater economic value. The 2026 edition is scheduled for November 12 at Alliance Française in Lagos under the theme, “Home Advantage: Transforming Local Demand into Global Power.” The conference will bring together stakeholders across Nigeria’s entertainment and creative industries to examine issues affecting the growth and sustainability of the sector. Discussions are expected to focus on areas including investment, intellectual property, audience growth, affordability, monetisation and ownership. Organisers say Nigeria’s large domestic audience represents a major economic opportunity that can be better leveraged to support local creators, businesses and investors. The conference will also examine how the country’s creative sector can build stronger local structures while expanding its presence in international markets. NECLive has over the years provided a platform for entertainment professionals, policymakers, investors, brands and other industry stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing Nigeria’s creative economy. The 2026 edition is expected to continue those conversations while placing greater emphasis on converting local demand into sustainable economic growth.
