FUTO 2026 Post-UTME: Meet Requirements Before Portal Closes

The Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) has officially opened its online application portal for the 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise. Candidates who selected FUTO as their first-choice institution and meet the required UTME score can now begin their registration process through the university portal.

The screening exercise is part of the institution’s admission process for candidates seeking admission into undergraduate programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Registration Dates and Deadline

FUTO announced that the Post-UTME registration portal opened on May 22, 2026.

Candidates are expected to complete their applications before the portal closes on July 31, 2026. Applicants are advised to register early and carefully review all submitted information before final submission.

FUTO 2026 Post-UTME Eligibility Requirements

Candidates applying for the screening exercise must:

choose FUTO as their first-choice institution during UTME registration,

score at least 150 in the 2026 UTME,

possess the required O’Level subjects for their chosen course of study.

While the general minimum benchmark is 150, candidates applying for highly competitive programmes such as Medicine and Surgery and some Engineering courses are expected to have stronger UTME scores due to competition for admission slots.

O’Level Upload on JAMB CAPS

Candidates are also required to upload their O’Level results, including WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, to the JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).

According to the admission guidelines, candidates whose results remain marked as “Awaiting Result” on JAMB CAPS after the specified upload deadline may not be considered during the admission process.

Applicants are advised to confirm that their results have been properly uploaded and reflected on the JAMB portal before admission consideration begins.

Important Advice for Applicants

Candidates should ensure that:

all personal information matches their JAMB records,

their active phone number and email address remain accessible,

and all required documents are uploaded correctly during registration.

Applicants are also encouraged to monitor official FUTO admission updates regularly for further screening instructions and admission announcements.
