Candidates still hoping to secure admission into Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI) for the 2026/2027 academic session have only a few days left to apply for supplementary admission.
The university has announced that registration for the supplementary admission exercise will close on Friday, September 25, 2026, and has stated that there will be no extension.
The opportunity is open to candidates who applied for admission into AE-FUNAI but have not yet been offered admission. According to the university, eligible candidates must have scored 150 or above in the 2026 UTME, although some programmes have higher minimum screening scores.
Some Programmes Require Higher Scores
While several of the advertised programmes have a minimum screening score of 150, candidates seeking admission into Anatomy and Physiology are required to have a minimum score of 160.
Biochemistry and Microbiology also carry a minimum screening score of 160, while the other listed programmes largely require 150. The available programmes cut across Agriculture, Basic Medical Sciences, Education, Environmental Sciences, Arts, Management Sciences, Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences and Social Sciences.
However, meeting the minimum score alone does not automatically guarantee admission. Candidates are expected to ensure that their JAMB UTME and O’Level subject combinations are suitable for their chosen programme. They are also required to effect the necessary change of course on JAMB CAPS to the programme they wish to apply for.
Don’t Wait Until the Last Day
With the deadline just around the corner, candidates who are eligible and intend to apply are encouraged to complete their registration as soon as possible instead of waiting until the final hours.The university states that the supplementary admission application attracts a ₦5,000 processing fee. Candidates are required to obtain the application form through the university’s supplementary admission portal and complete the registration process.
