The AE-FUNAI Students Union Government (SUG), led by President Comr. Nwankwo Ipere Kelvin and his executive team, paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Daniel C. Nwachukwu.
The SUG President thanked the VC for accepting the meeting and opening the door for direct talks with students. He laid out the main issues students are facing right now:
More lecture halls needed
Better lighting in all lecture venues
Improved university shuttle and transport services
Upgrades and regular maintenance of hostels
Stronger medical services at the university clinic
Renovation and upgrade of the SUG Secretariat
Including SUG in decisions that affect students
Tighter campus security measures
More support for social events and extracurricular activities
Prof. Nwachukwu responded by confirming that his administration is fully committed to supplying the facilities and systems students need for good academics and general well-being. He said the management is ready to team up with student leaders to move the university forward.
He also told students to keep a healthy balance between studies, social life, and campus politics, because all-round growth matters for success here.
