New AE-FUNAI Resumption Date Confirmed Following Hostel Renovations

Following an official internal memo from the Office of the Registrar, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI) has shifted the resumption date for the 2025/2026 second semester. The new resumption date is now Tuesday, May 5, 2026, moving from the earlier scheduled date of April 25.

The one-week extension was approved by the Vice-Chancellor to allow the university to complete the ongoing renovation and sewage evacuation within the halls of residence. This decision ensures that the campus environment is properly prepared and hygienic before the student body returns for academic activities.

Registrar T. Ifeanyi Igwe Esq. noted that the management recognizes the potential inconvenience of this shift but emphasized that the maintenance work is essential for the community’s welfare. All students and staff are expected to take note of this development and adjust their return plans to the new May 5 deadline.
