Big Brother Naija Season 11 has taken another dramatic turn as housemate Whitney Chukwu, popularly known as Nomy, has been disqualified from the reality show.Nomy’s exit was announced on Monday, September 7, after Big Brother accused her of repeatedly defying his instructions while in the house.The latest incident happened after Nomy was assigned the “Benchwarmer” role following her performance in the Head of House challenge. She was instructed to remain on a designated bench and wear a special vest as part of the punishment.However, Nomy later abandoned both the bench and vest, prompting Big Brother to confront her about her actions.The decision came after previous warnings and disciplinary action. Nomy had earlier received a strike for repeatedly disregarding Big Brother’s instructions, with the warning described as her final opportunity to change her behaviour.Following the latest incident, Big Brother revoked Nomy’s privilege to remain in the competition and gave her 30 minutes to pack her belongings and leave the house.Her disqualification means Nomy is no longer eligible to compete for the season’s grand prize and becomes the first housemate to be disqualified from the ongoing “Show Ya Sef” edition on disciplinary grounds.Nomy’s sudden departure has already sparked reactions among BBNaija viewers, with fans divided over whether Big Brother was right to disqualify her or whether another warning would have been enough.
