Nigerian singer Spyro has spoken about his views on leaving money behind for his children after his death, while also discussing the amount of money he has spent on his music.In a resurfaced interview, Spyro said he does not support the idea of leaving money behind for children without knowing what they would do with it.“I’m not part of the school of thought of ‘leave money down for children,’ because after I’m gone, I don’t know what they’ll do with it. So once you fall off grace and you don’t have money, you’re finished.”The singer also spoke about the amount of money he has spent producing some of his songs, revealing that some of the projects cost as much as ₦100 million.“There are songs I’ve spent 100 million on, and when you go check the streams, sometimes you look like, ‘What’s going on?’”Spyro further disclosed that the most he has spent on a single music video is around ₦50 million.The singer also spoke about his identity as a Christian and the relationship between his faith and his music.“Na me be Jesus boy, my music is not necessarily Jesus music. I’m a Jesus boy because I love God, I serve God, but I don’t necessarily make gospel music.”He also said:“A lot of us as artists are not even proud to have our children watch our music videos, because it’s pornography.”The comments have continued to attract attention following the resurfacing of the interview clip online.
