The Lagos International Theatre Festival is set to return for its 2026 edition, bringing Nigerian and international theatre productions to audiences in Lagos. The festival is scheduled to take place on November 14 and 15 at the MUSON Centre in Lagos. According to reports, this year’s programme will feature productions from Nigeria as well as international contributions from countries including Canada, Kenya and Brazil. The return of the festival is expected to provide another platform for theatre practitioners, actors, directors and audiences to connect through live performances. Organisers say the event will celebrate theatrical creativity while creating opportunities for cultural exchange between Nigerian and international performers. With its international lineup, the 2026 edition is expected to place Lagos once again at the centre of conversations around theatre and live performance in the region.
