OAU Changes 2026/2027 Post-UTME Screening Dates, Extends Registration Deadline

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, has rescheduled its 2026/2027 Post-UTME screening exercise and extended the deadline for candidates to complete their registration. The university announced that its in-person Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (Post-UTME) screening, which was initially scheduled for September 1 to 5, 2026, will now take place from Friday, September 25, to Wednesday, September 30, 2026. The change affects prospective undergraduate candidates seeking admission into OAU for the 2026/2027 academic session. According to the university, candidates who have successfully completed their registration can begin checking their individual screening dates and times from Wednesday, September 16, 2026. Candidates are expected to log into their profiles on the OAU screening portal using their JAMB Registration Number as their username and the password they created during registration. OAU has also extended the final deadline for Post-UTME screening registration to Wednesday, September 23, 2026. This gives eligible candidates who have not completed the registration process additional time to do so before the screening exercise begins. The university’s admission screening is open to eligible UTME candidates who chose OAU as their first choice and met the stated requirements, as well as eligible Direct Entry candidates. OAU’s earlier admission notice specified a minimum UTME score of 200 for eligible first-choice UTME candidates. OAU stressed that the screening exercise will be conducted in person, meaning candidates are expected to appear physically at the designated location on their assigned date and time. Candidates have therefore been advised to check their individual schedules carefully and make the necessary arrangements ahead of the exercise. The university also warned prospective candidates against dealing with Post-UTME or admission agents, stating that OAU does not endorse such agents. Candidates have been advised to rely on the university’s official website and verified communication channels for authentic information concerning the screening exercise.
