Nigerian dancer and hypeman, Iweh Odinaka, popularly known as Poco Lee, remains on remand in the United Kingdom as criminal proceedings against him continue.
Poco Lee is facing five sexual offence charges before Snaresbrook Crown Court in London. The charges, confirmed by the court, include one count of attempted rape, two counts of rape and two counts of assault by penetration.
Poco Lee’s Next Court Hearing
The court has listed September 15, 2026, for a plea and trial preparation hearing. This is the next stage of the proceedings and is not the actual trial.
Reports indicate that Poco Lee remains in custody while the case proceeds through the UK judicial system.
The court has also placed a reporting restriction on the case to protect the identity of the complainant, meaning information that could identify the complainant cannot be published.
Five Charges Confirmed by UK Court
According to Snaresbrook Crown Court, the charges against Poco Lee are:
- One count of attempted rape
- Two counts of rape
- Two counts of assault by penetration
The charges remain allegations, and Poco Lee has not been convicted of any offence. He is legally presumed innocent unless and until a court determines otherwise.
Separate Allegation Emerges in the US
The UK case has also drawn attention to a separate allegation made publicly by Nigerian rapper Ms Jorji, who alleged that Poco Lee attempted to sexually assault her and a friend during an incident in Dallas, Texas, in 2024.
However, there is currently no established connection between that allegation and the UK criminal proceedings, and the Dallas allegation has not been established by a court.
Management Calls for Restraint
Poco Lee’s management and legal team have urged the public and media to avoid drawing conclusions from unverified claims circulating online.
The management has also disputed reports involving alleged “drink spiking,” stating that such claims do not form part of the charges confirmed by the UK court.
For now, Poco Lee remains before the UK courts, with his next hearing scheduled for September 15, 2026, at Snaresbrook Crown Court.
