UNIBEN Sets September 21 Deadline for 2026/2027 Acceptance Fee Payment

The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has warned newly admitted candidates for the 2026/2027 academic session to complete payment of their acceptance fee on or before Monday, September 21, 2026. The university opened its acceptance-fee payment portal on August 24, 2026, for candidates who have been offered provisional admission. The payment window was set for four weeks, making September 21 the final deadline. With the deadline now approaching, candidates who have received admission offers but are yet to complete their acceptance payment are advised to do so before the closing date. UNIBEN also requires admitted candidates to first accept their admission on JAMB CAPS, where applicable, before proceeding with the university’s acceptance and registration processes. The university warned that failure to pay the acceptance fee within the stipulated period may lead to withdrawal of the admission offer. Candidates are therefore encouraged not to wait until the final hours before completing the process. After payment, students should retain their payment receipts and other relevant documents because they will be needed for subsequent clearance and registration.
For the 2026/2027 session, the reported acceptance charges are:
– Science/Medical programmes: ₦122,820
– Non-Science programmes: ₦115,670
Candidates should make payments only through the university’s approved payment platform and should be cautious of unofficial payment links or individuals claiming to process admission on their behalf.
