The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially addressed the widespread “No Result Yet” notifications appearing on the portals of thousands of 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) candidates. The clarification comes today, April 28, following a 24-hour surge in candidate anxiety and rumors of mass result cancellations.

The examination body confirmed that while the majority of results have been released, a significant number are being withheld for “rigorous screening.” This process is reportedly targeting technical glitches during the CBT sessions and suspected cases of examination malpractice. The board emphasized that the “No Result Yet” status does not automatically imply a cancellation but indicates that an investigation is ongoing.

Candidates are advised to continue checking the official portal periodically rather than relying on third-party sources. The board also issued a stern warning against “result upgrading” scams, noting that their systems are tamper-proof and any candidate found attempting to manipulate scores via fraudulent agents will be permanently barred.
