AE-FUNAI Students and Staff to Gain Advanced Industry Skills through Expanded ITF Partnership
Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI) is set to significantly broaden its human capital development following a strategic move by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) to expand its collaboration with the institution. Beyond the traditional Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), the ITF is introducing specialized training modules designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and practical industry requirements for both students and university personnel.
During a recent visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Daniel Nwachukwu, the ITF Area Manager for the Abakaliki Office, Mr. Frank Okafor, revealed that the Fund has evolved its mandate. The new initiative focuses on equipping the university community with emerging labor market demands through professional and technical training modules.
