UNIZIK 2026/2027 Admission List Out: How To Check Status & Next Steps

Nnamdi Azikiwe University, UNIZIK, has joined the list of Nigerian universities releasing admission for the 2026/2027 academic session. Candidates who chose UNIZIK as their first choice and participated in the Post UTME screening can now check their admission status on both JAMB CAPS and the UNIZIK portal.
UNIZIK has started uploading admission offers in batches. This includes merit and first-batch lists for UTME and Direct Entry candidates.
The university advised all admitted candidates to accept their offers quickly on JAMB CAPS to avoid forfeiting their spots.
How To Check UNIZIK Admission Status 2026/2027
Method 1: JAMB CAPS – Recommended
1. Go to `portal.jamb.gov.ng`
2. Login with your JAMB email and password
3. Click “Check Admission Status” → “Access my CAPS”
4. If you see “CONGRATULATIONS”, click “ACCEPT” immediately
5. Print your JAMB Admission Letter after accepting
Method 2: UNIZIK Portal
1. Visit the UNIZIK admission portal
2. Enter your JAMB Reg Number
3. Click “Check Admission Status”
Note: “Admission in Progress” means you’re still under consideration. Keep checking.
Important Things To Do After Admission
1. Accept on CAPS: This confirms your admission with JAMB
2. Pay Acceptance Fee: on UNIZIK portal when activated
3. Print Admission Letter: From both JAMB and UNIZIK portal
4. Begin Clearance: Upload O’Level results on JAMB and UNIZIK portal
5. Pay School Fees: before the deadline to secure your department

1. Upload your O’Level to JAMB portal. No upload = No admission
2. UNIZIK only considers candidates who made it 1st choice
3. Avoid fraudsters. UNIZIK does not sell admission
